Efficient and Effective Use of Teeth Whitening Trays
Teeth whitening products and procedures are not new to us. The whitening toothpastes available in the market for years now promise a brighter, whiter, warmer smile to their customers. In the last few years, tooth whitening products have been witnessing a boom as the people have become more conscious of the way they look and smile.
Tray based teeth whitening system:
Tray based tooth whitening procedures are very common among teeth whitening procedures. Tray based teeth whitening system consists of a tray, which is flexible enough to be fitted to the teeth of the person who is undergoing the treatment. The tray is designed to hold a bleaching agent closer to the teeth and for some period of time. There are two kinds of tray-based teeth whitening systems available. One is the dentist-assisted method and the other can be used at home by the person who is trying it.
Teeth whitening procedure is ideal for those who have healthy gums and unrestored teeth with no fillings. Yellowish tinted teeth respond very well to the teeth whitening procedures. There are many kinds of bleaching agents, which are used in the teeth whitening products. The most common whitening product recommended by dental professionals is a 10-20 percent carbamide peroxide solution since it is a viscous gel which clings to the teeth very well. Better results are achieved if the bleaching agent has good contact with the teeth. The duration of the tray to be worn by the patients depends on the desired level of bleaching required and the degree of staining. Even though it is considered to be an uncomfortable procedure, the results got are excellent.
Many over the counter tray whitening systems use hydrogen peroxide in the place of carbamide peroxide. Even though hydrogen peroxide is safer to use, bleaching is not achieved quickly as it takes several sessions a day continuously for several weeks to get the desired results.
Efficient and effective use of teeth whitening trays:
The teeth whitening tray should fit the mouth and teeth size properly to get desired results. Since bleaching of artificial dental works like bonds, caps, bridges, fillings etc does not happen, the dentist will be the person to decide either to replace the artificial piece with the teeth of the same color after the whitening treatment or not.
It is good to be away from generic trays. Not only these trays cause several undesirable effects, but also do not fit the mouth properly. When the tray base whitening system does not fit the teeth properly, it will lead to swallowing of the bleaching gel or can cause injuries to the soft tissues of the mouth. Some trays may come with bleaching agents that are ineffective, or acidic or even toxic. Hence care should to be taken while using such products.
Before applying the whitening tray, it is good to clean, floss and brushes the teeth as the bleaching gel works very well and quickly if the teeth are clean. The teeth whitening tray can be used while sleeping to get a maximum effect. If it’s applied during daytime, it hinders the speech.

Specific Foods That Lead to Bad Breath
Bad breath is generally caused by bacteria, which releases sulfur compounds, when certain changes are made to its environment. In most cases, these changes are caused by food.
The fact that Garlic and Onion causes bad breath isn’t news for anyone. But, do you know why they cause bad breath? It’s because both garlic and onions have sulfur compounds. Sulfur is often used by nature to create odors. Everybody knows about the skunk for example. The odors that he is releasing are done as a defense mechanism.
All that smell is created by his organism with the help of sulfur compounds (one of them is skatoles). If you let food out of the fridge for too long it will become spoiled. This happens because the food’s proteins are broken down by anaerobic bacteria. The smell of sour milk for example is caused by the same type of bacteria that causes bad breath in people. And the same goes for meat as well.
There are four types of foods that boost the production of sulfur. They’re listed all below:
1. Drying Agents: in most cases alcohol is the drying agent of choice when it comes to food. Obviously, alcohol is also used in most adult drinks, like wine, beer or hard liquor. The real problem is that alcohol is also used exactly in the product that should be fighting the problem, mouthwash. In chemical terms, alcohol is a desiccant.
It’s often used in laboratories to reach places that are harder to clean, like beakers or test tubes. The same thing happens in the oral cavity. Something else you should know is that the alcohol doesn’t even serve a purpose in the mouthwash. It’s just used to make the mouthwash look appealing in the shop. While all the coloring chemicals and flavoring they use isn’t soluble in water, but it is in alcohol.
Even though cigarettes aren’t food, by smoking you’re sure to have bad breath. It’s even worse than alcohol.
2. Protein Foods That Are Dense: Everyone knows that you get bad breath if you eat dairy foods. In South California, two thirds of all people are lactose intolerant. Millions and millions of people worldwide can’t eat dairy because their organism doesn’t breakdown their proteins. If they do eat dairy, amino acids will build up in their organism. Then they will become sulfur compounds, with the help of the throat and tongue bacteria. In a few cases, the same thing will also happen when some people eat chicken, beef or fish.
There are also some rare cases where people can’t break down the proteins from beans. This disease is called TMA (comes from Trimethylaminuria), though it’s also called “Fish Odor Syndrome”. The name comes from the smell, which is the same as that produced by fish that are decaying. The odor has in it nitrogen compounds and sulfur compounds. Those that have TMA aren’t allowed foods with dense protein or beans.
3. Sugars: it would be really nice if you could just chew some M&Ms and lose the bad breath. Or how great would it be to get rid of Hershey Kisses. Those that are producing ALTOIDS would want you to believe this is possible. Besides Altoids, there are other products that try to convince people of the same thing, without a real basis. It has no basis in real science and it doesn’t make much sense either. You do feel a MINT taste when you put a MINT flavor on your taste buds, but it’s only a taste. The sugar that Altoids has will help the bacteria release sulfur compounds, so their claim of helping you get rid of the bad breath is just wrong.
Besides that, the bacteria can also use the present sugars and make glycan strands. These contribute to the creation of plaque on your teeth, which causes gum disease and tooth decay. It also boosts the bad breath. Because you can’t really smell your own breath, you think everything is alright, feeling the mint on your taste buds, but not feeling the breath that others are smelling.
The conclusion is that you should avoid mints, candies and chewing gum if you want to keep a fresh breath.
4. Acidic Foods: below are some of the foods that you should avoid:
• Coffee – regular and decaf coffee have acids
• Tomato Juice
• Citrus Juices – Grapefruit, Pineapple and Orange Juice
Acidic foods are such a problem because bacteria react in a bad way to their environment.

Home Treatment for Alcoholism
Alcoholics cannot resist the urge to drink alcohol, and then drink more alcohol. They are not stupid people (not always, anyway!). Most are aware of how bad excessive drink can be for the human body, but despite their knowledge they have lost their ability to control the amount of alcohol they drink. They drink beyond socially acceptable limits and are often a burden and embarrassment to their friends and family. This still does not stop them from drinking.
While alcohol-based mouthwashes are very convenient because you get to have a very good breath for a certain period of time, they can eventually dry your mouth. The easiest way is to rectify the situation is to stop using such mouthwash. Instead, get mouthwashes that are alcohol free.
Ongoing alcoholism has dire effects on the body. It interferes with the normal function of all organs. It is especially hard on the liver, brain, kidneys and heart. Cirrhosis of the liver is one of the most serious effects of prolonged alcoholism. This is a scarring of the organ that is almost irreversible. It is rare that a cirrhosis-affected liver can ever be returned to full health and functionality. Alcohol interferes with digestion, which starts to starve the body of needed nutrients. Each time alcohol is imbibed it dulls a little more of the senses. Over a long period of time these sensory losses can become permanent.
The more severe sufferer of alcoholism who may have been drinking for many years may require a more stringent treatment involving inducing vomiting, taking medicines to assist digestion, and fasting.
Start drinking more and varied types on non-alcoholic beverages regularly. This, too, will reduce the need to drink alcohol. When you feel the need to drink, grab a glass of carrot juice instead. It will help remove that urge.
Whatever method is used in the rehab center will depend on each individual. One may respond to prescription drugs for detox while another may find power in prayer while yet another finds a cure in getting healthy for the sake of their child or spouse. In any event, all must confess the problem to find the solution.
Staphysagria: This helps with emotions and will relieve the effect that suppressed emotions have on you, this is beneficial as people often turn to alcohol to forget about painful experiences from the past.
Alcoholics Anonymous meetings give the alcoholism sufferer hope and support from others with personal experience with the same problem
Simmer 1 cup honey and 3 cup water together slowly. Allow 1 cup of the water to evaporate. Strain off the top surface, and put the remaining liquid into a stoneware crock or dark bottle. Put a towel over it so it can breathe, yet be free of dirt. Place in a cool place. You can add cinnamon, clove, or the juice of 2 lemons, if you like.Take a glass of grapefruit and lemon juice in equal parts to dispel fatigue and general tiredness after a day’s work.

Cure For Bad Breath Recommendations
Does your breath smell like a swamp? If it does, then you would find a good cure for bad breath or halitosis a welcome relief since you are most likely embarrassed by the smelly odor coming from your mouth. In order to spare yourself this embarrassment, I am certain that you have desperately tried to locate a bad breath treatment. I understand that finding a method to remove stinky breath can be time-consuming and frustrating. To spare you the hassle and save you some time, I will give a number of good solutions for a cure for bad breath over the next several paragraphs.
One of the causes of bad breath are the bacteria that feast on the leftover food in your mouth. This situation will result in the release of disgusting smelling volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs) which can cause your breath to smell rank. To get rid of bad breath in this situation, you should practice proper oral hygiene by brushing and flossing after each meal. Doing this will decrease the amount of food remnants the bacteria could feast on. There might also be some food left on your tongue so using a tongue scraper to remove them would also be useful.
An easy cure for bad breath is to eliminate sugar from your diet. You should take this to mean that you should not consume any types of mints, candies, or gums which have any sugar in them. This is because the bacteria in your mouth can utilize sugar to grow which will cause the production of more disgusting smelling VSCs.
Eliminating anything that contains a high level of acid from your diet can also be a good cure for bad breath. Highly acidic foods or drinks can force the bacteria in your mouth to grow at a faster rate which will leave a bitter aftertaste and leave a disgusting smell in your mouth. Things to avoid include pineapples, grapefruits, oranges, tomatoes, and caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee. Because tea is less acidic than coffee you could always drink that instead.
Dry mouth is one of the causes of bad breath. This can force bacteria to grow more rapidly. If water is not something you drink enough of, then dry mouth is probably the reason for your rank breath. To eliminate dry mouth, you should drink at least eight glasses of water everyday. Water will eliminate any remaining food and prevent your mouth from getting dry.
There are many people who will want to utilize a commercial mouthwash as a bad breath treatment. Actually, most commercial mouthwashes may cause your breath to stink even more. This is because they contain alcohol which can dry up your mouth. A mouthwash can be made at home that would be a more effective cure for bad breath. This mouthwash consists of salt mixed in with a cup of warm water. After you gargle with it, your breath will smell much fresher.
There are many people who have found the cures for bad breath mentioned above quite effective at ridding you of the bad smell. Eliminating sugar and highly acidic foods and drinks from your diet, drinking at least eight glasses of water daily, gargling with warm salt water, or brushing and flossing after every time you eat can definitely clean up your breath as well as make your social life better.

White Teeth With Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening can be a highly effective way of lightening the natural colour of your teeth, not removing any of the tooth surface. It can not make a complete colour change; but it will lighten the existing shade.
There are a number of reasons why you might want to get your teeth whitened. Artists were some of the first to do it, and it was tax deductible for them! Yes, they needed it and many other public persons followed. Very few persons have brilliant-white teeth, and our teeth usually become more discoloured as we get older.
Your teeth can also be stained on the surface through food and drinks. Tea, coffee, red wine and blackcurrant make a difference not only in the short run. And smoking do stain teeth. Some people may have staining under the surface, which can be caused by certain antibiotics or tiny cracks in the teeth which take up stains.
Professional bleaching is the most common form of tooth whitening and your dentist will be able to tell you if you are suitable for the treatment. First the dentist will put a rubber shield or a gel on your gums to protect the soft tissue. They will then apply the whitening product to your teeth, using a specially made tray which fits into your mouth like a gum-shield.
The ‘active ingredient’ in the product is usually hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide. As the active ingredient is broken down, oxygen gets into the enamel on the teeth and the tooth colour is made lighter. The total treatment can be done within three to four weeks. First, you will need two or three visits to the dentist. Your dentist will need to make a mouthguard and will take impressions for this. Once your dentist has started the treatment, you will need to continue the treatment at home. This means regularly applying the whitening product over two to four weeks, for 30 minutes to one hour at a time.
However, there are now some new products which can be applied for up to eight hours at a time. The treatment can be performed when you sleep. This means a satisfactory result can be achieved in as little as one week.
There is now laser whitening, even called power whitening. During this procedure a rubber dam is put over your teeth to protect the gums, and a bleaching product is painted onto your teeth. Then a light or laser is shone on the teeth to activate the chemical. The light speeds up the chemical reaction of the whitening product and the colour change can be achieved more quickly using this procedure. The effect of laser whitening is good, teeth can make up to five or six shades lighter.
Your dentist will need to check your teeth to make sure that you are suitable for the treatment. This procedure is fast and usually takes about one hour.
The effects of whitening can last up to three years and will vary from person to person. Of course the effect is less likely to last as long if you smoke, or eat or drink products that can stain your teeth. Some people may find that their teeth become sensitive to cold during or after the treatment. The symptoms are usually temporary and should disappear within a few days of the treatment finishing.
Home kits are cheaper but because tooth whitening is a complicated procedure you should only have it done by a dentist, after a thorough examination and assessment of your teeth. Home kits that you buy over-the-counter will not be able to lighten your teeth noticeably. And some contain mild acids and others are abrasive. This can cause ulcers and damage to the gums if the product is not used properly.
There are many whitening toothpastes on the market. Although they do not affect the natural colour of your teeth, they may be effective at removing staining and therefore may improve the overall appearance of your teeth. Whitening toothpaste may also help the effect last, once your teeth have been professionally whitened.
We recommend that you look for an accreditation symbol on the packaging of oral care products. This is a guarantee that the claims made about the product have been scientifically and clinically checked by an independent panel of experts.
As you know many dead teeth go discoloured after a root filling. If the tooth has been root treated, the canal (which previously contained the nerve) may be reopened. Then the whitening product is applied and will work from the inside to whiten the tooth.
You can do a lot to keep your teeth white by cutting down on the amount of food and drink you have that can stain teeth. Stopping smoking can also help prevent discolouring and staining.
Take care of your teeth – brush twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste. Cut down on how often you have sugary snacks and drinks and visit your dentist at least once a year.

Win the Battle against Bacteria: Use Your Mouthwash Properly
After a good night’s sleep, when we wake up in the morning, we experience a physical and mental freshness. But does you mouth feel fresh too? No! Most of us wake up in the morning with a foul odor in the mouth. This is so because, when we remain asleep, the secretion of cleansing saliva is reduced considerably. This boosts up the activities of plaques and gingivitis causing bacteria inside the mouth. This accounts for the lack of freshness of the morning breath.
Not only for the morning breath, mouthwashes help you to enjoy a fresh and clean mouth all through the day. These special oral care products are filled with active antiseptic ingredients-sometimes chemical, sometimes natural. Whatever may be the forms, these active ingredients are meant to kill the bacteria and prevent them from further regeneration. The result is: your wife is no longer panicked to give you a loving kiss at any point of the day.
But mouthwashes alone can’t solve your oral health problems. You have to use them properly to get the best result. Here are few tips to help you use the mouthwash to your best effect.
Choose the product carefully:
First of all you have to be very clear about your expectation from the mouthwash. What do you want to do it for you-do you want it to help you get rid of irritability of bad breath? Or is it the plaques that you want to remove? Or do you want to fight against the cavities and want to strengthen your dental health?
Remember, most of the mouthwashes that you come to find in the stores are strictly for cosmetic purposes to give you a fresh and tangy feeling in the mouth, but the feeling does not last for long, as these products have nothing to do with the long term oral health.
Long accumulated plaques are one of the major causes of bad breath and to remove the plaque build ups you have to use mouthwash that contains cetylpridinium chloride or domiphen bromide. These ingredients dissolve these bacteria generating build up.
If you want to fight cavities that form between teeth preventing your toothbrush access the area, you should use fluoride containing mouthwash.
How to use a mouthwash
In order to get the best result you have to follow these steps:
After taking your meal, brush first and then rinse your mouth with your mouthwash. This order is important because, brushing will remove the mouthwash ingredients from your teeth, thereby rendering no result.
- Swish or gargle mouthwash for a full minute inside your mouth and then spit it out.
- Don’t swallow the product and even it goes inside mistakenly, seek professional help.
- After the rinse, don’t eat or brush for a half-hour.
- If you are using fluoride mouthwash, rinse once a day, preferably at bedtime.
- You can use a mild mouthwash more often.
- If you’re pregnant or nursing mother, don’t use mouthwash containing alcohol.
Follow these tips to achieve a significant reduction in breath odor and a spanking clean mouth al through the day.

Receding Gums – Reverse Gum Disease
If you’ve ever worried about receding gums, you are not alone. It’s a condition that affects millions of people each year and, in many cases, the byproduct of age. Early identification and prompt treatment can stave off most symptoms and preserve your long-term oral health.
Stopping the Recession
If you’ve started to notice that your teeth look longer than they used to, you may be noticing receding gums. If you’ve noticed increased sensitivity to hot or cold foods, you may also have cause for concern. These are the two most common symptoms of receding gums, and they can cause significant distress. Indeed, they can allow food to become lodged in the teeth more easily (creating the potential for further infection), and they can produce significant changes in the appearance of one’s smile.
If this sounds like you, there is no reason to fret. Chances are, this is simply part of the aging process. Over time, mild grade infection of the gums can lead to displacement and recession of the gums. It’s a common byproduct of gum disease and it can be prevented with consistent and thorough oral hygiene habits.
If you are a regular brusher and flosser, you’re off to a good start. However, if you’re looking to take an active approach to preventing gum disease and its associated conditions, you’ll take some extra measures. At trustednaturalproducts.com, we specialize in the prevention of gum disease and we offer a wide variety of products to promote oral care. There’s something for every family member and every need, and we encourage you to browse our site for further resources.
Reverse Gum Disease
Did you know that it’s possible to reverse gum disease? There’s simply no reason to suffer from bleeding gums, receding gum lines, or discomfort during eating. With proper treatment, you can have these symptoms on the mend in no time at all.
A Call to Action A good many people sit idle while gum disease takes hold of their lives. They may notice the inflammation of their gums or they may notice that they are beginning to choose their foods more carefully; however, they proceed as if poor dental health is an inevitable outcome, the natural byproduct of age and an active lifestyle. This couldn’t be less true.
Although our gums do become more vulnerable with age, with proper oral hygiene, there is simply no reason not to avoid most forms of gum disease. Proper brushing and flossing and regular dental cleanings provide the foundation of this effort. However, if and when gum disease rears its ugly head, there is still much you can do to tackle symptoms. Early intervention is the key to success and it doesn’t have to occur in the dentist’s office.

Beauty Tips – Daily Foot Care
Foot care should be an essential part of a daily health care regimen. Feet work hard during every day while supporting the body during standing, walking or running. Being confined in shoes and socks that retain moisture, or in sandals-type shoes which roughen skin, feet are prone to problems such as bunions, a painful enlargement at the joint of the big toe; corns or calluses caused by pressure on the skin of your foot resulting in hard, sometimes painful, patches of skin; plantar warts, which result from an infection by a virus; and fungal or bacterial infections such as athlete’s foot that occur from an excess of moisture common in the foot area which allows the fungus to grow.
There are many different ways to keep your feet healthy and prevent any problems with your feet. Out of all the methods ranging from buying over the counter products to visiting the doctor, the best way to treat your feet is the natural way. Using various easy home remedies you can cure your feet from many common types of conditions. And by using home made preventive remedies you can ensure that you never get these types of conditions again. However in extreme cases such as athlete’s foot it would be a good idea to consult a doctor, as you might need to take oral medication along with application medicines.
There are many over- the- counter products available to treat the common ailments of the foot. Lotions are used to treat dry and cracked skin, and often contain oils such as peppermint, to cool and soothe the feet and condition skin. Calluses can be treated using a pumice stone or similar device, which when rubbed gently on the affected area, removes the dry, dead skin so the fresh skin underneath is exposed. The alternatives to the pumice stone are foot files and loofah products that work much like the stone in removing old skin. There is a wide array of lotion and oil products available to use in combination with the files, stones, and loofah, making the sloughing off of dead skin more beneficial and easier to do. Liquid soaps and lotions also may contain pumice-like materials which exfoliate the feet. Prior to using these techniques, it is good idea to soak feet first in a bucket of water or utilize a store-bought foot bath to make the skin softer and removing hard skin easier. Foot baths are often electric and generate heated water and relaxing bubbles that bring relief to tired feet and legs and helps with the circulation of blood. Products such as foot powders and sprays aid in the reduction of moisture and help keep feet dry and odor-free while wearing shoes and socks.
Proper toe nail care is also an important part of maintaining foot health. Regularly trimming nails prevents painful ingrown nails which may lead to infections. Professional pedicures performed in beauty salons are often added to weekly or monthly foot care regimens. Pedicures typically incorporate massage, nail care, and skin care at relatively inexpensive prices. For treatments at home, salon style tools and products can be purchased and used for regular foot care maintenance.
Remember the most fundamental remedy is to keep your feet clean and to wear the proper foot wear. No matter how fashionable your sandals may be, if they are causing a problem throw them out. This is the best preventive measure you can take on behalf of your feet.

What Patients Need To Tell Their Dentists For The Best Care
All dentists do the best job they possibly can, but with a little extra information from you, they can do an even better job. This means you need to communicate effectively with your dentist right from the start. This includes your expectations, history, and monetary expectations for the visit. Otherwise, you end up with a mouth full of dental tools and no way of telling him what you are thinking. When your dental professional knows what your needs are, you can leave the office feeling good about your oral care and enjoy being healthy.
Patients Should Explain Their Oral Care Needs
In order to address your oral care needs, dentists need to be aware of why you made the appointment. This could be problems with your teeth, sore gums, or maybe it was just time for a checkup. It is important to be completely honest. If you downplay the pain or fail to mention things that seem ‘minor’, your dental professional may overlook certain things or fail to consider certain conditions.
Talk to your dental expert about what you expect from your treatments. Do you have cosmetic concerns? Are you terrified at the thought of needles? Although it would make their job easier, oral care experts can’t read your mind and they really do try hard not to torture you. Therefore, when they know what you are looking for and looking to avoid with a treatment, they know how to help.
Provide A Medical History
Existing health problems can have a profound effect on your oral health and treatments. This includes many things you may not have thought of before. Taking blood thinners, for example, can cause you to suffer from a wound that refuses to heal or uncontrolled bleeding. Other things that can cause these problems are things such as hypertension and heart disease. If you are pregnant, you will also be restricted to the medications and procedures you can have done.
Dentists should know about other diseases and illnesses such as HIV/AIDs or TB so they can take the necessary precautions to protect you, other patients, and staff. This is not only because of the spread of the disease, but a weakened immune system is more prone to infections and illnesses.
The Financial Aspects Of Treatment
Many patients fail to talk to their dentists about what they can afford and often end up being unhappy with their bill. Talk to your dental professional about your budget. Of course, paying ten dollars for a set of crowns just isn’t going to happen, but many times treatments can be adjusted to fit your budget. This might include using a different treatment option or a treatment that is spread out on a monthly basis to make it more affordable. One great example is if you are in need of a set of fillings. You can often have them all done at once to fit into a busy schedule or you could have one done every month to spread out the cost.
When you are open and talk freely with you oral care professional about what your needs and expectations are so they can work with you to provide the best service possible. They know exactly what the limitations are, what kinds of treatments to consider, and what you are looking for in terms of care. This way, you don’t have to worry. You can truly work as a team to get a smile you can be proud of.

Mouthwash May Lead to Oral Cancer
Mouthwash ingredients include thymol, eucalyptol, hexetidine, methyl salicylate, menthol, chlorhexedine gluconate, benzalkolnium chloride, cetylpyridinium chloride, methylparaben, hydrogen peroxide, domiphen bromide, fluoride, enzymes and calcium. There are also water sweeteners such as sorbitol, sucralose, sodium saccharine and xylitol. Some mouthwash has alcohol which takes up to 27% vol. The alcohol content gives an antibacterial effect. According to research, alcohol causes mouth to be dry. It also aggravates the condition of chronic bad breath. It decreases saliva, which naturally makes breath fresh.
A researcher from the Dental Journal of Australia published a report linking mouthwash to oral cancer. It concludes that there is enough proof that alcohol-based mouthwash increases the chance of having an oral cancer. Alcohol based mouthwash has acetaldehyde as its by-product. As Acetaldehyde is produced, it builds up in the oral cavity. The researcher believes it is carcinogenic, thus causing cancer.
However, some dental experts are still firm on their contention that mouthwash reduces mouth infection as it kills bacteria residing in the mouth. That until now, there is no extensive report released evidencing mouthwash as a cause of oral cancer.
Oral cancer happens when a cancerous tissue grows in the oral cavity. Oftentimes, oral cancer is commonly found on the tissues of the lips and the tongue although it may also happen in the floor of the mouth, lining of the cheek, gums and palate.
In 2008, around thirty four thousand Americans were diagnosed with oral cancer. People with oral cancer often experience a burning sensation whenever they eat spicy foods. As their condition worsens, they find difficulty to open their mouth. These are because of the lesions which are present inside the mouth as a result of the cancer. Smoking and alcohol are the recorded top reasons why people at risk of oral cancer. There is an even bigger risk when a person drinks and at the same time smokes heavily. Drinking and smoking have both a collaborative consequence on oral cancer. This is the reason why some recent study closely linked alcohol-based mouthwash to oral cancer. As an alcohol-based mouthwash is gargled, it leaves Acetaldehyde, which enables substances causing cancer (e.g. Nicotine) to get through the linings of the mouth with no trouble. However for now, there are still no extensive evaluations which can show valid proofs that gargling with mouthwash is harmful.
